I am heik, a composer and pianist from the Netherlands.

Music has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. Composing piano music brings me a level of tranquility that helps to reflect on everyday events. I enjoy searching for soothing melodies that are elemental and powerful. With repetition and transitions, I try to develop a feeling of comfort and balance.

All songs have a sense of homecoming to me and are inspired by a person or event that moved me emotionally. It is this emotion, the immaterial, that is so essential to our well-being.
